VITAMINS FOR HAIR GROWTH
As we are all aware our body needs vitamins in order for it to function correctly.
Whether these vitamins be sourced from food or supplements, is not so important. What you might not though be aware
of, is that there are also hair loss vitamins. These so called hair loss vitamins are what our body needs to keep
our hair healthy and strong. Generally most vitamins in the B range are good for our hair, either for strength or
for color. This in particular is true for vitamins B6 and B12, where a deficiency in either of them can cause
hair loss.
Biotin - otherwise known as vitamin H - is a proven hair growth vitamin.
Furthermore, this vitamin appears to help some balding men to keep their hair for a longer period. It is believed
that this vitamin works through mobilizing the fatty acids in the body which are needed by numerous body
processes.
A lack of zinc in your diet can contribute to both hair loss and scalp problems.
Since most of us lead somewhat stressful lives nowadays and since high stress levels can also deplete your body’s
store of this hair loss vitamin, it goes without saying that many people are lacking in zinc, whether they suffer
from hair loss or not.
Another vitamin that can affect the condition of your hair is vitamin E. In order
to maintain a healthy head of hair, one of the items that your body requires is good circulation in the area of the
scalp. As vitamin E increases oxygen intake, this in turn boosts the circulation, promoting strong, healthy hair
growth. Though you might be unaware, protein is the major ingredient of hair itself. If protein is lacking from
your diet, this can affect both your hair growth as well as the hair quality itself. In fact, it controlled tests
it has been found that protein can actually increase the thickness of individual hair strands within a short period
of time, so making your hair appear much thicker.
What you may find is that even if you believe you are taking the correct dose of
these preventative hair loss vitamins, your body may not be able to absorb them and you may still be deficient.
There could be an underlying medical reason why this is, so it is best to check with a medical professional to find
out exactly why your body is unable to absorb the vitamins that it needs.
